New Look!

I’ve wanted to update the theme of my blog for a while, but just couldn’t decide on one. Yesterday, I came across one called Kubrick, and after viewing my blog in the preview, I decided I liked it enough to use it! So today I made the switch. ^o^

I’m going to make several headers with the blog name and tagline in them so that the text won’t be awkwardly sitting in the center like it is right now… Maybe something in the background as well…

Also, I have updated several of my pages, which are no longer at the top of my blog but are now in the sidebar near the top. ->

Rambling xP

Today didn’t get off to such a good start; I had difficulty getting to sleep last night and therefore slept later today. Because of that, I was sleepy all morning and had a small headache until late afternoon. -A-

But I’m all better now! I’m just saying this before I go to bed.
I need to write something on Lang-8 too, but… I’ll leave that for tomorrow, I guess. I can talk about my guitar lesson or something.

Yes! My brother and I are taking guitar lessons now. Yaaay~

I have to finish up my second AIS assignment tomorrow and send it off. I got a letter in the mail today; they are basically looking for it in the mail so I need to hurry up and finish it. It’s mostly done!

Bah, sometimes I feel really busy and sometimes I feel like everything is lined up and under control. XD I’m just leaving it all to God!
I am looking forward to crossing more things off my to-do list. It’s rewarding to know that you’ve accomplished what you set out to do.

Forum Re-purpose?

My Mahou no Ichigo forum was originally created so that I could stay in contact with my friends from school after my parents got divorced and we moved to a location with very poor cell phone reception. Needless to say, that plan didn’t work too well. The forum is decidedly dead, even after I opened it up to everyone else (my online friends and then some).

I tried to make it a general forum where people could come and talk about lots of things rather than just a specific fandom or genre. But that didn’t really work either.

Now I’m thinking I should just re-purpose it altogether into a “character bag” forum. That’s really all I’m using it for…each thread is for a different character, and each user has a separate board that holds characters. There are also other boards for roleplay, commissions, and general talk. Ideas and opinions on this would be welcome. Oh, and you’re welcome to join, too. xP

I said that via Twitter a few minutes ago. It is my feeling in regards to a series of texts that went back and forth between a friend and me within the past hour. I’ll probably get his response in the morning, as I’ve turned my phone off and have it charging (I need to go to bed now!). Hopefully his response will be a positive one. I am fairly certain I understand his motives and where he may be coming from; I just want to make certain that he knows to look to the right way instead of the false path.

Anyway! It’s been really hot lately, and it looks like the rest of the week is only going to be hotter! I thought we had a moderate climate here; what happened? XD

Oh! Oh! Today I got accepted as an Alpha user on WaniKani.com and I went through the first lesson already. I like it so far! It’s like iKnow! (previously Smart.fm) but…closer to home, if you know what I mean. WaniKani is made by the same team behind Tofugu.com and TextFugu.com! Check all three of these sites out if you’re interested in learning Japanese in a different (“wonky”) way!

I’m contemplating several things regarding blogging and vlogging…I’d write out all my thoughts about the topic now, but it’s nearly 11 PM and I really do need to get to sleep…

Basically, the ideas consist of weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly vlogs, as the case may be (or however I decide to do it); series posts on my original characters, and fanfiction updates, among other things. For example, I want to vlog and post blog entries about my preparations for going to Japan, which I mentioned before. At this point I’m still thinking about all of this, so… How about a more in-depth post about it tomorrow?

I thought of something today. When someone smiles, there is often a “parenthesis” shape around their mouth, right? Well, in mathematical equations, you are supposed to “do everything in parentheses first”…

Rainy Day?

I’m quite tired this morning, actually. I-I might just go back to bed. ^^; Blair (floor guy~) is supposed to finish the floor today, but he is unsure if he will be able to do it because of the ‘threat’ of rain… He said he was going to come much earlier today to try to beat the rain, at around 8:30.

Yesterday I changed my camera to Japanese. Today I changed my iPhone to Japanese. And my iPod was already in Japanese… Next thing would be my computer, I guess.

(Almost two hours later)

Yeah, I went back to bed. Sleep felt nice. -ω- It is thundering outside…and there was lightning a bit ago. I’m nervous.

(Here’s where Safari crashed and I lost some of my post. So I’ll write it again.)

Yesterday I didn’t really draw because the sounds of construction in the dining room were rather loud. But that’s fine. I needed to do more planning, and besides, I can do plenty of drawing over the weekend. Today, though, I think I’ll work mainly on writing up the China Journal. I doubt I’d be able to knock it out in one day, but I covered many entries last time I updated it, so we’ll see. It can get tiring after a few hours.

Today we are getting hardwood floor in the dining room!!!!!! 8D I am so excited! I have been taking pictures of the entire renovation process, so once this floor is done I will write a blog post about it. ^o^
…He said it will only take him today and tomorrow to do the floor. Really? o.o That’s cool.

Oh, and on March 24th is the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival! This year my parents are going, which will make it a lot more fun than last year. (Last year a different relative took my brother and I to the festival and she was rather boring ^^; ) I hope that this time it will also be warmer and not so rainy…

Speaking of the weather, what time of year would be best to go to Japan? As of now I think the only times I could go this year would be summer or fall. Maybe I could go in the winter, but I don’t like being cold. XD;
